QB
Josh Freeman – Coming off his week 5 Bye, perhaps
Freeman and the Bucs offense have their act together after he posted 328 yards
and 3 TD’s in week 6. Freeman got both
of his big WR’s Mike Williams and Vincent Jackson involved and this week he
goes up against New Orleans, who allow the 6th most fantasy points
to QB’s. With many Qb’s on bye, Freeman
is more than serviceable this week. He has low QB1 upside in this matchup.
QB Flier
Brandon Weeden – Weeden in wk 6 had 231 yards and 2 TD’s
with 1 interception. This week he faces the Colts and they allow the 13th
most fantasy points to QB’s. The
emergence of Josh Gordon along with Trent Richardson is a blooming fantasy
trio.
RB
Felix Jones – DeMarco Murray has been ruled out for week 7. In relief of
Murray last week Jones got 92 yards and a TD on 18 rushes. He should certainly reach 18 carries against
the Panthers in week 7 and they are allowing the 5th most fantasy
points to RB’s.
Montario Hardesty –
When
Trent Richardson went down, Hardesty ran for 56 yards on 15 carries and scored
1 TD. With Richardson’s week 7 status dubbed “uncertain,” Hardesty could end up
facing the Colts who allow the 3rd most fantasy points to RB’s.
RB Flier’s
Philip Tanner – Felix cannot carry the full load and it’s
likely that Murray’s injury will be multi-week or at least susceptible to reinjury.
Daryl Richardson – Tough schedule but getting half of the
carries.
WR
Mike Williams – See Josh Freeman (above). Additionally
New Orleans allows the 3rd most fantasy points to WR’s.
Donnie Avery – In week 6 Avery got 13 targets. His week 7 opponent? The Cleveland
Browns, who allow the 2nd most fantasy points to WR’s. Shutdown
corner Joe Haden will likely shadow Reggie Wayne.
WR Flier’s
Josh Gordon – 197 yards and 3 TD’s in last three games. Week 8 he faces
the Colts allowing 8th most fantasy points to opposing WR’s.
Brandon Gibson – Week 6 Gibson converted 9 targets into
6 catches and 91 yards. Week 8 Gibson
faces the Packers who allow 12th most fantasy points to WR’s and the
Rams will have to throw to win.
TE
Tony Scheffler – Week 6 he had 5 targets, 3 receptions
and 81 yards. He’s already had his bye and if facing the divisional Bears in a
Monday Night Showdown and they allow the 12th most fantasy points to
TE’s.
