QB Geno Smith: Geno is coming out of week 3 having
just put up 345 total yards and 3 total td’s. This week he faces the Titans and
Tennessee has been pretty good against qb’s this year, but with the versatile
Bilal Powell in the backfield and the emergence of Santonio Holmes, Geno has a
good opportunity for continued success this week. The Jets defense should force
additional opportunities as well by creating a turnover or two against Locker.
RB: Johnathan Franklin: Franklin
exploded for 103 yards on 13 carries and 23 yards on 3 receptions. He is on bye
week 4 which makes for sneaky waiver pick up as Lacy already has a fumble and
concussion in his first two games and Starks is hurt again.
RB Flier LeGarrette
Blount: Crazy
huh? Well Blount notched the most rushing attempts last week out of the Pat’s
backfield, granted most came in the fourth quarter while clock killing; but Coach
Bill certainly didn’t use that time to build Ridley’s confidence. Blount rushed
14 times for 65 yards maintaining an impressive 4.6 yards a carry. The more
Ridley struggles, Blount could gain flex value in 12 and 14 team leagues.
RB Flier: Brandon
Bolden: Is he the new Vereen? I think he is worth
a gamble in deeper PPR leagues. 3 Rushes for 51 yards and 6 targets with 5
receptions for 49 yards.
WR Ryan Broyles: Early news Tuesday morning was that
Nate Burleson broke his arm in two places and the injury is going to require
surgery. Broyles played limited snaps as he is making his way back from acl,
but he caught all 3 of his targets for 34 yards in week 3. Last year Broyles
flashed huge PPR upside prior to his injury.
WR Flier’s: Nate Washington and
Davone Bess: Both were week 3 target monsters with 10 targets each.
Nate caught 8 for 131 and Bess 7 for 67. The flier appeal here is they both
play opposite and stud WR that may be on the trade block.
TE Rob Housler: Seeing his first action of the year
Housler notched 3 targets, catching 1 for 13 yards. This week he faces the
Tampa Bay Bucs who allow the 3 most fantasy points, 2nd most yards
and 6th most receptions to TE’s. With Fitzgerald expected to see
plenty of Revis this week Housler could be a backend TE1 play this week.
