QB
Add
- Chad Henne – We saw what Tony Romo
did last week against Denver in putting up 500 yards and 5 TD’s and while Henne
is not even in the same conversation as Romo, Henne’s wide receivers are.
Denver is allowing the 5th most fantasy points to QB’s and thanks to
garbage time, Blackmon and Shorts should both go over 100 yards and Henne over
300 with a couple TD’s. With Matt Ryan on bye Henne is the perfect streamer.
With Gabbert sidelined with a hamstring “pop” Henne is likely to run with the
job thanks to the timing of Blackmon’s return.
RB
Add
- Zac Stacy – 5.6 yards per carry in
week 5 and if his ribs check out, he will get another chance to start and keep
rolling. While the offense is a mess, Stacy is an ideal replacement for
Snelling or Miller/Thomas as bye week fill-ins.
Add
-Marcel Reece – He may be the last
man standing this week in Oakland with both McFadden and Jennings hurt. Reece
is very serviceable when he gets volume and he won’t come off the field in
passing situations if the other two are out. Keep an eye on practice reports.
Add
– Brandon Bolden (PPR) –
Bolden is back healthy and will be a serviceable flex/rb3 in ppr formats. He should have a
good game this week against the Saints where Brady will likely have to throw a
ton to keep pace with Brees.
Watch
-
Andre Ellington, Mike Goodson (PPR)
Avoid
– Despite David Wilson likely missing this Thursday’s game against
the Bears, Brandon Jacobs and
recently resigned Da’Rel Scott are not
worth roster consideration; as Charles Barkley said: “Turrible.”
WR
Add
– Terrance Williams – As long
as Miles Austin is out, Williams has WR2 upside and even when Austin returns
Williams should still be serviceable in three receiver sets. Even when Austin
returns, how long will he stay healthy?
Add
– Austin Pettis – WR3/flex in PPR
Watch
- Keenan
Allen and Vincent Brown – Both are serviceable in deeper leagues but together
they only have 37 catches after 5 weeks with a TD a piece. For perspective, Danny
Woodhead has 34 catches and 3 receiving TD’s, out of the backfield. Wait and
see if Keenan can separate himself. He almost had 2 TD’s (toe out of bounds) in
week 5 and possibly a 3rd.
Watch
– Jeremy
Kerley (PPR), Markus Wheaton
TE
Add
– Charles Clay – He was
featured in the Week 3 waiver wire add column, so hopefully you added him then,
if not and he’s on your waiver wire and you have a roster spot while he is on
bye this week, then add him. He should come out of the bye even better as they
iron out their offensive kinks.
Add
– Brent Celek – With Foles starting
this week against Tampa and DeSean Jackson likely covered by Revis, Foles is
going to be looking for a TE security blanket and that makes Celek a solid TE2
with TE1 upside.
Watch
– Jeff
