QB
“If you don’t have
anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
RB
Add
– Mike James – He’s the next man up
in Tampa and will be a flex play based on touches, however Martin wasn’t able
to do much with his pedigree in that offense, so when you combine that with the
Bucs upcoming schedule of Panthers, Seattle and Miami; expect similar numbers
that James put up in relief against Atlanta in week 7 – 14 rushes for 45 yards
and 3 receptions for 8 yards.
Add
–Chris Ivory – (last week’s watch)
34 rushing attempts. THIRTY FOUR. He did only manage 104 hard fought yards for a
3.1 average and he’ll probably be dead legs for next week. But this is why they
signed him. Perhaps they rode Powell when he was hot and nursing Ivory back to
health. Maybe the second half of the season is Ivory’s to dominate.
Add
– Daniel Thomas – Thomas
got the start over Lamar Miller in week 7 and ran 12 times for 60 yards and a
stout 5 ypc avg. Though you may need to limit expectations as he may not start
next week and he faces the Patriots who limited Ivory to 104 yards on THIRTY FOUR
carries.
Watch
–
Mike Tolbert (last week’s watch has scored in 2
straight)
WR
Harry Douglas - last week’s must add in
week 7, had 7 catches for 149 yards and a TD.
Add
– Terrance Williams – Williams has scored
a TD in 3 straight and caught 90% of his targets in the last 4 weeks. He’s a
good flex option even when Miles Austin is active, but should Austin miss time
again, Williams is strong WR3 and has WR2 upside in favorable matchups
Add
– Jarrett Boykin – (last
week’s add) James jones figures to be back this week or
next, so production may decline, but with Aaron Rodgers at qb and Jermichael Finley
likely out then perhaps Boykin can build on his performance in week 7 of 10
targets 8 receptions 103 yards and a TD.
Add
– Jeremy Kerley – In week 7 Kerley
put up 8 receptions on 10 targets for 97 yards and a TD. This week he faces an
injury depleted Bengals secondary so he should be in your flex or WR3 slot.
Watch
– Darrius Heyward-Bey – With
Reggie Wayne’s ACL, DHB’s role figures to grow in a pass happy offense. He’s a
sneaky add this week because he is on bye and could be a good flex WR3 with all
the bye’s next week in week 9
TE
Add
– Jordan Reed - Reed
caught all 9 of his targets for 134 yards and a touchdown. Having already had
his bye in week 5 Reed is a must add for all who don’t have a top flight TE.
Add
– Coby Fleener – Fleener
is a sneaky add this week because he is on bye, but he should see more activity
following Reggie Wayne’s injury. Wayne did a lot of his damage in the slot and
the middle of the field is where Luck will continue to look for his security
blanket.
